BGC Contracting Secures another Civil Contract with Rio Tinto

BGC Contracting's civil team has been awarded the contract to undertake the On-Site Civil Earthworks for Rio Tinto Coal Australia at their Clermont Mine project, which is located approximately 110kms north east of Emerald in Queensland.
The work under this new contract consists of all earthworks and civil works for the construction of a reinforced earthwall, site roads and ancillary earthworks.
This additional Rio Tinto work follows on from the recently completed Mine, Dam and Miscellaneous Earthworks contract at Clermont and the recently awarded $50 million Kestrel Mine civil works contract.

The award is directly attributable to the safe and co-operative delivery of past projects which has been ably supported off-site by the larger Queensland team.
