Project Details
The crushing and screening plant was capable of
8 million tonnes per annum was operating at approximately 600,000
tonnes per month. The ore was crushed to minus 150 mm and
stockpiled.
The railed product was scheduled at
approximately 600,000 tonnes per month. The mining schedule

Mining consisted of levelling hills as haulage
was downhill loaded. In the open pit mine natural voids were
incurred in the first 20m below the surface. The slope of the
natural hills ranges between 10° - 60° from the horizontal. The ore
was heavy with bulk densities as high as 3.3 tonnes per cubic
metre.
